Explore a unique black-and-white design showcasing the "Owners" font, created by Jeremy Mickel in 2021 in Los Angeles. This expressive font family is inspired by the dynamic energy of handmade signage found around the city. It captures various design styles, featuring a wide range of weights and widths to adapt to different design needs. The poster theme I visualized is centered around the core principles of design: Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity (CRAP). These principles form the foundation of effective and appealing compositions. Contrast ensures elements stand out, Repetition creates a cohesive look, Alignment brings order, and Proximity groups related items. A design without C.R.A.P. lacks structure and visual appeal, making these principles essential for any successful design.
I created a poster called the "Scarface Manifesto" that reflects the movie *Scarface* and highlights Tony Montana's infamous speech. Using blue, pink, and purple tones, I incorporated symmetry, contrast, and geometry to capture the essence of the film. Hidden visual images from the movie add depth and intrigue to the design. Inspired by the vibrant Miami vibes and the film's underlying tension, I aimed to bring those contrasting elements into the picture.
